Guyana 2004
Produced by the only “Diamond” distillery in Georgetown, Guyana, MEZAN Guyana 2004 is a rum made from local Demerara molasses. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, this blend is distinctive in that it was distilled in a Versailles alembic, with a wooden vat topped by a copper swan neck.
Tasting notes
The result is a characteristic fresh, spicy, fruity style, almost akin to a whisky
profile. Only 3 casks of varying degrees have been bottled, making for less than 800 bottles worldwide.
