Guyana 2008
Produced at the Diamond Distillery in Guyana. This rum was distilled in the famous old Port Mourant Stills which were transferred to Diamond when the old distillery closed, based on the original distillery designs from the 1700’s. These wooden double pot stills feed into a rectifying or retort chamber, which leads to a heavy bodied Demerara rum with considerable ester levels and a rich fruity character. All the rums are fermented with the distiller’s own yeast.
Tasting notes
Estery green bananas and lychees, fresh grassy notes wrapped with a light caramel cream. Very light oak with a touch of cedar. Rounded with some unexpected sweetness, a developing palate of capsicum and fresh vanilla pod.
How to taste?
We suggest you savor them plain, dry and untouched. By tasting them neat, you can fully appreciate every drop of Mezan rum.

Our Mezan XO is just perfectly delicious in the Jungle Bird cocktail:
Try our recipe:
45 ml – Mezan Jamaica XO
45 ml – Pineapple juice
20 ml – Campari
15 ml – Lime juice, freshly squeezed
15 ml – Sugar syrup
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime slice.

Mezan Dominican Republic 2012 reveals an intense nose with some vanilla, cinnamon, muscovado notes, coconut, orange blossom and a hint of pepper. A rich oaky frame surrounds a softer body and rounded palate with some light oak and warming exotic spices.

Here are some tips for you!
Ingredients:
60 ml - MEZAN Chiriqui
12 - Mint leaves
6 - Raspberries
2 tbsps - Vanilled sugar
Crushed glass
Method:
Cobber shake.
Garnish:
A raspberry & a mint bouquet.
Take a metal cup or a glass, put a dozen of mint leaves at the bottom. Add 6 raspberries & 2 tablespoons of vanilled sugar. Mash (without
shredding the mint). Pour the rum. Stir and cover with crushed ice.
